What Matters Most
Helen Bea Kirk's masterful realistic fiction pops off the page in this tale of loss. Touching upon numerous genres, What Matters Most not only is a fine read for lovers of cozy mystery, family drama and humor, but satisfying for appreciators of suspense/crime novels as well.
Inspiration for What Matters Most comes from Kirk's own experience with different forms of loss. At a time when Helen Bea Kirk was unable to walk without excruciating pain, she ambled to the doctor for a regular mammogram appointment and was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The grief of losing loved ones is portrayed by several characters in the book What Matters Most, but primarily our protagonist, Meagan, who is still reeling over the loss of family when she gets violently robbed. When the police inform her she will likely never get her belongings back, she takes action---vigilante style, never imagining she might fall in love with one of her victims.

INTERVIEW QUESTIONS FOR HELEN BEA
Helen Bea Kirk
is known for the creative identifiable characters in her stories. Her years of one on one in the customer service sector, her prolific romantic imagination, gregarious nature and desire to control the "ending" propelled her to write twenty years ago; back when she filled notebooks with a Bic pen. In 2013 she became published under her own brand.
Helen enjoys reading suspense romance, but prefers sweeter romances to erotica. "I tried to write an erotic scene and it made me laugh; definitely not my bag! You will find that when I do pen something a bit more risque ----it's funny. My goal is for my readers to experience a range of emotions, but primarily delight."
Born in Canada, Kirk moved to the United states as a teenager and has lived in numerous different states. She settled in Texas where she and her husband of twenty-five years enjoy their two sons and old yellow lab.
